Most skincare products are 80% water. That means preservatives, pH adjusters, and stabilisers – not skin-friendly ingredients, just shelf-life ingredients. In Rainne Skincare there is No water. We pack our products with the maximum amounts of the individual ingredients so that each ingredient can perform to its potential. More goodness. No nonsense. Just pure, powerful oils and active ingredients that will impact your skin for the better. #Grapeseed & Jojoba Oil #Niacinamide & Salicylic Acid.

So whats in it?

1. The Active ingredients

CLEAR & REPAIR and RAINNE DROP Products:

  • Salicylic Acid  - Maximum 2% of 30ml product

 The carriers are our bulk ingredient INSTEAD of "Aqua":

What we dont add...

Water might sound clean and pure, but in skincare, it’s kind of a liability. Water is very  vulnerable to bacteria, mould, and yeast growth. As soon as you introduce/add water into a product, you must add preservatives to stop it from going bad. No one wants their face serum to turn into a petri dish, right? And it doesn’t stop there. 


Water-based products also have to be pH-balanced carefully. What is pH? pH is a measure of the hydrogen ion (H+) concentration in an aqueous(water) solution. The natural pH of water can be too high or too low for the skin, and many active ingredients (like salicylic, niacinamide, etc.) only work within very specific pH ranges. Therefore more ingredients. So formulators have to add more chemicals — pH adjusters — just to push the acidity or alkalinity up or down and make the product stable and effective. It’s like a chemical juggling act behind the scenes, just because water is sitting in the formula.  


So what you asking? Well you can only put so much ingredients in a 30ml bottle. With all these extra ingredients your have only room for one star ingredient. Most skincare products are made to do just one thing, which makes building a routine expensive and confusing—especially when you're trying to figure out which ones actually work well together for your skin.

Our oil-based serums are effective in two ways, firstly in function, secondly in cost for a PREMIUM PRODUCT.  Our purposed waterless ingredients have all the properties that aid the skin to be better.  Whatever the skin needs, it has enough of each ingredient to help. Having too many ingredients causes a lack of sufficient amounts of any individual ingredient in the the formulation to make a meaningful difference. Our carrier & essential oils are light & Non-comedogenic(Non pore clogging)

Oil & water are not a good combination in a skincare product, but Rainne Skincare has been able to take the active ingredients we use i.e. salicylic acid or niacinamide, that normally are dissolved in distilled water(aqua) and have found a medium which is NOT water based to dissolve these ingredients that makes it waterless and works very well with essential & carrier oils. 


The issue with water-based carriers are that they are more vulnerable to bacteria, so they need extra preservative ingredients for protection. They also have extra ingredients to pitch the pH up and down to achieve the correct pH for its intended purpose otherwise their formulation will not be effective. This is why you will see a myriad of ingredients in water based products. Rainne.. with no rain(ha ha)..therefore no free hydrogen ions, therefore no pH.  Rainne is able to provide skincare products with fantastic benefits from only 5-6 powerful & effective ingredients. 

Yes - It will calm serious facial acne significantly.  But some types  acne(cystic) unfortunately need serious medical interventions to totally eliminate this type of acne. Rainne Skincare's Clear & Repair products contain salicylic acid and tea tree oil that can help to reduce facial inflammation and breakouts.  The carrier oils themselves are Non-comedogenic, meaning they dont clog pores also assist by having Antibacterial, Antifungal, Anti-Inflammatory, Protective Antioxidant and Antimicrobial properties. They also help by balancing or reducing skin oils, calming irritation, preserve skin moisture and support skin repair.

Yes, The active ingredient in our products DO SEPARATE from the carrier & essential oils, but a quick vigorous shake and then 3-4 pumps of the pipette before use and the serum is ready for action.
